Leveling reminders

Items to keep and sell, Paladin spell training, and gold priorities for leveling. Training and spending suggestions are proposals for review.

1–6 Northshire

Finish local turn-ins before leaving the Abbey. Follow the live quest log if counts differ.

Bank

  • No routine bank items here. Bag of Marbles comes later in Elwynn.
  • Save any bank errands for a planned city visit.

Vendor

  • Grey junk: sell at the next vendor after checking that no active quest needs it.
  • Replaced starter gear: equip the upgrade, offer any unbound party upgrade, then sell the old item.
  • Surplus tradeable meat: sell what the cook declines after your quest requirements are met.

Trade within the party

  • Linen Cloth, if found: reserve 10 for Redemption and cover your bandage needs. Offer surplus to a confirmed tailor or bandage crafter at regroup.
  • Unbound upgrades: caster gear to a Mage/Warlock/healer; Hunter gear to the Hunter. Recipient equips it now.
  • Tradeable cooking meat: offer surplus to the party cook. Tough Wolf Meat for your own quest stays with you.

Auction house · later

  • No routine Northshire stockpile. Party needs and vendor cash come first.
  • Suggested exception: an unneeded tradeable bag or recipe. Bank on the next city visit; hold at most 2 bank slots total across both regions.
  • Suggested review: 48 h after launch. List only if likely proceeds justify fees and effort; otherwise vendor.

Keep in bag · future quests

  • Linen Cloth: up to 10, collected naturally, for Stephanie Turner’s cloth hand-in. Keep this reserve out of bandage crafting.
  • Kobold Tracking Kit: 1, carried into Elwynn until Shhh! We’re Hunting Kobolds is turned in.
  • Local pickups: 8 Tough Wolf Meat, 12 Red Burlap Bandanas and 1 Garrick’s Head. Turn them in at the Abbey.
  • Nibbled-On Book: 1 if found. Use it to start the quest and turn it in promptly; retain follow-up items until their hand-ins.

Keep in bag · encounters

  • Suggested caps: 5 usable healing potions, 10 food and 10 water. Use looted supplies; buy only what you need and can afford.
  • Bandages: up to 10 if trained and usable, made from cloth above the Redemption reserve.
  • Keep one usable tier of each supply. Equip upgrades; no speculative spare gear.

6–11 Elwynn Forest

Goldshire → Elwynn loop → planned Stormwind visit. Party recipients are roles until professions are confirmed.

Bank

  • Bag of Marbles: bank the item with all remaining charges at the first planned Stormwind bank visit. Do not vendor it or carry it for routine encounters afterward.
  • Delayed-sale items: deposit at that same visit. Cap them at 2 bank slots total, separate from Bag of Marbles.

Vendor

  • Grey junk, replaced gear and declined party upgrades: clear at normal route vendor stops. Disenchant gear instead only when trained and worthwhile.
  • Chunk of Boar Meat above your 4 for Pie for Billy, plus Stringy Wolf Meat: sell what the cook declines. No personal Cooking 50 stockpile.
  • Rough Stone and unused crafting materials: trade for a teammate’s confirmed next craft or sell. Skip the guide’s personal Blacksmithing stockpile.

Trade within the party

  • Party cook: surplus Chunk of Boar Meat and Stringy Wolf Meat after reserving your 4 quest meat. Trade at regroup; no extra farming or storage if declined.
  • Confirmed tailor/bandage crafter: cloth above your 10-Linen Redemption reserve and current bandage needs.
  • Mage/Warlock/healer or Hunter: unbound upgrades usable now. Copper Ore, Rough Stone or Light Leather go to a matching crafter only if needed; no personal gathering profession is assumed.

Auction house · later

  • Unneeded tradeable bags or recipes: bank for a suggested review 48 h after launch. Party use takes priority.
  • Maximum 2 bank slots total, including Northshire finds. Do not keep every green item or raw material.
  • At review, compare likely proceeds after fees with vendoring. Sell low-value leftovers instead of extending the stockpile.

Keep in bag · future quests

  • Linen Cloth: 10 until Stephanie Turner’s cloth hand-in, then release the reserve. You need not retain it through the whole Redemption chain.
  • Chunk of Boar Meat: 4 until Pie for Billy is handed in to Auntie Bernice, before any cooking trade.
  • Kobold objectives: 8 Large Candles and 10 Gold Dust until the Goldshire turn-ins; 6 Lost Books if Book Return is active.
  • Furlbrow’s Deed: 1 if found. Start the quest and keep its delivery item for Farmer Furlbrow in Westfall.
  • Kobold Tracking Kit: 1 until its quest is turned in. Retain active delivery packages and quest tools until their own hand-ins.

Keep in bag · encounters

  • Suggested caps: 5 healing potions of the best usable tier, 10 food, 10 water and 10 usable bandages. Restock on-route; do not buy merely to fill a cap.
  • Keep your travel item or working replacement and tools for professions you actually trained. No Mining Pick for an unchosen profession.
  • Princess or Croaky: have a usable healing potion ready. Keep one compact supply set for these fights.

Spell training

Paladin · levels 1–60. Training priorities are proposals for review.

Paladin

Launch prices not verified. Blizzard changed training costs on November 2. Listed amounts are older addon references before discounts; confirm prices at the live trainer. Unknown does not mean free.

Human Paladin, levels 1–60: class spells, every listed rank, active talent unlocks, Parry and Plate Mail. Passive talents, racials, professions and weapon skills are excluded. Levels without a new entry are omitted.

Proposed tank priorities: Train · Situational · Delay · Build only. Talent levels assume ordinary points in the matching tree. Check your action bars after training.

Sources and unresolved data

Checked 2026-11-04. Current per-rank prices need live trainer confirmation. Holy Shield’s first rank is a level-30 talent; later ranks are listed at 40, 50 and 60. No current total or savings claim is calculated from the old costs.

Excluded: removed Salvation, Mass Salvation, Revoke, Blessing of Light, Greater Blessing of Light, Voice of Truth and Sense Undead. Hammer of the Righteous is not included: catalogues disagree, and no available trainer entry was verified. Class mount rows are quest reminders; their quest, supply and riding costs are not established here. Spell data and recommendations have not been tested in game.

Gold priorities

Proposed priorities and traps for your dungeon-leveling plan.

Proposed

Spending priorities

  • Keep enough liquid gold for essential class training, repairs and the supplies needed for the next run.
  • Reserve the cost of the level-40 mount route you will actually use. Confirm the Paladin quest and riding requirements before choosing a cash target.
  • Buy a bag or an equipment upgrade when it solves a current problem and does not consume the training or mount reserve. Check route and dungeon rewards first.
  • Keep Enchanting at the skill needed for relevant loot. Expand the second profession only when affordable, useful and compatible with the group’s pace.
  • Review spending at a planned trainer stop; do not turn every newly available rank into a separate trip.
Proposed

Gold traps

  • Training every available rank automatically. Buy the tools and upgrades your current role needs; review situational spells with the next dungeon in mind.
  • Using Classic or early-beta prices as launch prices. Blizzard changed class training costs on November 2; the old table is a reference, not a budget.
  • Budgeting for removed Salvation or Blessing of Light spells, or buying trainer ranks for talents you have not selected.
  • Repeated talent resets before the build is settled. Verify the trainer’s reset price before confirming.
  • Auction-house browsing, speculative stockpiles, expensive recipes or profession grinding that delay the group or consume progression reserves.
  • Treating looted materials as free. Compare the useful craft or disenchant result with the best realistic sale alternative, including fees.
  • Buying every small gear upgrade or overstocking consumables. Use the supplies and upgrades you already have before replacing them.
